Cardenanthus is a bulbous genus in the Iridaceae family native to South America. It is in the Tigridieae tribe. It is poorly understood and similar to Mastigostyla. Goldblatt & Manning have decided to lump Cardenanthus in with Mastigostyla in their new book The Iris Family (2008).
Cardenanthus tunariensis is a species from Bolivia.
