Cornukaempferia

Cornukaempferia Mood & K.Larsen is a rhizomatous genus in the Zingiberaceae family found only in Thailand. There have only been three described species.

Cornukaempferia aurantiflora Mood & K.Larsen is a species from northeast Thailand. Height range: 1-2 ft.

'Jungle Gold' is the form most commonly found in trade and has been listed as a selection of both C. aurantiflora and C. aurantifolia. Only species aurantiflora is listed in the Tropicos and Kew data bases. Height range: 1-2 ft. Photo taken August 2009 by Jay Yourch.
