After months of intense heat and drought and a sparse blooming season for my Zephyranthes and Habranthus, we finally had a semi-decent rain last week. I got some sporadic blooms among the rain lilies (it wasn't much rain!) but a gratifying response (probably more from the weather cooling a bit) from pots of Rhodophiala bifida. These are some tough old bulbs I acquired years ago from an acquaintance in Texas and their resilience never fails to amaze me!
