ENSURING THE FUTURE OF OUR PLANTS

Dylan,
I fully agree with yours and others' sentiments that sharing plants and propagules is the only substantive way to ensure a future for a particular plant or taxon. I was arguing a smaller point about the value of online documents for collaborative information aggregation when it comes to the records-keeping side of horticulture and conservation. I took if from prior discussion that some members were considering creating a database of bulb-related info and I merely wanted to emphasize that online documents provide many benefits to collaborative endeavors such as that.

Kipp,

You speak of the manipulation of information but little about real world
purpose. How is this movement or storage of information connected to the
movement and conservation of the plants themselves?

Dylan
