Jim, I'm glad to have more identification for my mystery fungus. The common name, "dog puke fungus," is an apt description, even though it is an " unlovely" one.

Thanks, Cynthia, I have always been interested in obtaining clean iris albicans from seed but to no avail. They say it grows wild in S. Arabia where it propagates from seed.
