A new bulbbler...

My name is Jim Foster and I live in Santa Barbara, California. I have
been interested in bulbs for quite a while even when living in
Pennsylvania 11 years ago.

I am a neophyte when it comes to these interesting plants in fact I have
maintained one bulb for over 10 years without knowing what it is because
I've never gotten it to flower! We call it the resurrection plant
because it looses its leaves a couple of time every year but manages to
do a revival on an adequate watering. I also have several Boophane
disticha bulbs which I have brought to flower and have given silver
paint sprayed seed heads to folks to use a Christmas tree crowns.

I thought there might be a meeting someplace in my area to meet others
with similar interests. Is that the case?
