Smoke water

I have read that smoke flavoring sold for cooking can be useful in

germinating species accustomed to sprouting after fires. I bought some
smoke water at a local market and will give it a try.

I think the actual material which breaks down germination inhibitors is, in
the majority of cases, charate. Smoke probably doesn’t come into contact
with seeds long enough for anything to happen.
