Using Wiki pictures

I think another possibility is to tell the requestor to contact the
owner of the photos directly. I was contacted directly about some of my
photos that they found on the PBS wiki, and whether I was willing to
give them permission to use them. When I asked, they explained to me
what they wanted to use them for. I thought it was a very reasonable
request.

We got a request today to use some of our wiki pictures. I am getting
more
and more requests from people to use my photos from the wiki. If anyone
contacts me about using any of the photos of anyone else, I will
contact
that person privately and he or she can decide whether or not to let
that
person use them. Occasionally someone offers to pay a small amount or
will
give credit. It is nice that people are asking. We recently also got
a
request to use our pictures in wikipedia. I wrote back that they were
not
in the public domain.
