Growing Mexican Hymenocallis, a query

Once again, ecological conditions can mean the difference between
successfully cultivating these and tossing a rotted bulb away. And if you
want to flower them regularly, knowing something about where they came from
is essential.

Last year somebody told me they collected Hym. acutifolia from a seasonally
flooded river bed. I have been watering mine profusely this year and am
being rewarded w/ a flowering stalk now.
