colchicum leaves for dinner

Jim:
It seems that each organism has a particular chemistry that treat some
substances as deadly poisons and others as a harmless component. The
real interesting part is that everything I have read says that slugs
will seek out cardiocrinum leaves for miles and eat them over anything
else. My cardiocrinum has been untouched for years by slugs.
Go figure.
