Hi all, I also grow Crocosmia 'Lucifer' in my central North Carolina garden. The flowers are nice and the hummingbirds love them, but here the foliage is a bit floppy, is subject to spider mite attacks during hot, dry weather, and it can spread a little too fast. A better form in my garden which is not floppy, spreads slowly, and has been more resistant to spider mites is the yellow flowered 'Jenny Bloom'. I know this is a red flowered TOW, but we seem to have gone off into Crocosmia, so I hope nobody minds me mentioning this superior yellow form. Here is a commercial link to Jenny. I am not associated with this business, although I do know the owner and have been a happy customer for many years: http://plantdelights.com/Catalog/Current/… <http://plantdelights.com/Catalog/Current/…> There does not seem to be a page on the Wiki for Crocosmia. Would you like me to make one and post photos of 'Lucifer' and 'Jenny Bloom'? Both should start blooming here in the next week or so, so you won't have to wait long. Jay Yourch
