Kathleen, are your Erythronium helenae in a cool greenhouse or frame, or in any other way enabled to get a head start? For me the first to bloom anywhere are E. multiscapideum in both cool greenhouse and cold frame. E. helenae have not yet emerged in any situation and I am north of you.
