Good to know, thank you. There's a lot of A. capensis at the U.C. Irving Arboretum, so it seemed like it should work well for me here in Los Angeles. But I haven't had any germination on that one at all. I've had a couple other species germinate in the second year. I was afraid I'd missed a treatment requirement. --- On Tue, 2/19/13, MARK MAZER AND FREDRIKA MAZER <markmazerandfm13@earthlink.net> wrote: From: MARK MAZER AND FREDRIKA MAZER <markmazerandfm13@earthlink.net> Subject: Re: [pbs] Androcymbium Germination To: "Pacific Bulb Society" <pbs@lists.ibiblio.org> Date: Tuesday, February 19, 2013, 11:42 AM > Subject: [pbs] Androcymbium Germination > > I've been trying to get several Androcymbium species to germinate, but seem to have trouble. Do these seeds need any special treatment? Most of ther Androcymbium species that we have grown germinated erratically over 3 years; A. dregei a notable exception, blooming in 2.
