It will tolerate water at any time of year if planted with adequate drainage. In Derbyshire, England, I grow Oxalis adenophera under a birch tree, in a gravely bed on a retaining wall about 16 inches high along side Daphne retusa, Daphne blagayana, Primula vulgaris, Nerine bowdenii, Tulipa linifolia..... I also grow selected forms in large tubs alongside Colchicum corsicum, Primula marginata and various saxifrages in pieces of Tufa. The Important thing is to treat it as an alpine and give it lots of drainage. Peter (UK)
