I got the map but I do not think that there was a real need to re-do the zones. Now all the texts w/ the old data are no longer valid... They are saying that most of Florida is zone 9. Our new property gets nightly temps down below freezing in the winters and often down into the low 20's on many nights. Tha's no zone 9, infact the old zone gave it Zone 8a. Oh well, Kevin Preuss USDA zone 9 ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ann Marie" <mysticgardn@yahoo.com> To: "Pacific Bulb Society" <pbs@lists.ibiblio.org> Sent: Sunday, June 01, 2003 11:58 PM Subject: Re: [pbs] New hardiness maps are out > Did anyone else have a hard time getting this map up?? > > John Ingram <floralartistry2000@yahoo.com> wrote:///Well/, the USDA finaly released the new zones and here > is a link to the PDF site: > > http://www.ahs.org/pdfs/USDA_Map_3.03.pdf > > I lists Ohio as all zone 6. > > Looking over the CA section, I noticed that there is a > large z10 area on the border of CA and AZ and at the > foot of the hills just east of San Diego.
