Good to know you are back. I do not think I can contribute
much to the week's topic as here bulbs are combined by other criteria than
pleasing combinations but I can mention the gorgeous effect achieved from
using two plants that are not bulbous nor geophytes but that look bulbous
enough for most people: Dietes bicolor and Agapanthi. The Dietes flowers for
many months in full sun if watered and when the pale lemon of the blooms
coincides with blue Agapanthi, particularly in the paler shades the effect
is stunning. Perhaps others could think of this color combination but using
bulbs that would flower at the same time.
