I was just doing a search for seeds of scilla maderensis when this message arrived. a firm was offering some last year at a price. The bulbs grow on the surface. I believe there are two or three similar Scillas, they are not supposed to like frost at all and resent deep planting. I have seen them at Edinburgh Botanics, and one at Abbey Brook cactus nursery England, and maderensis this spring at Kew.
