Thank you one and all for the interesting info. Peter, who gave me the bulb, says he inherited it from his parents' garden, and it was already there when his parents moved in, which was 1948. When did Martin Grantham make his crosses? "they would have been planted some time before 1948 when mum and dad took over the property."
