Which Brunsvigia
Ina Crossley (Thu, 26 May 2011 18:50:10 PDT)

Thank you one and all for the interesting info. Peter, who gave me the
bulb, says he inherited it from his parents' garden, and it was already
there when his parents moved in, which was 1948. When did Martin
Grantham make his crosses?

"they would have been planted some time before 1948 when mum and dad
took over the property."

Ina,

Have you seen the cross made by Martin Grantham of Brunsvigia josephinae
(seed parent) x Amaryllis belladonna (pollen parent)? It looks just like
your plant.

A few months ago I was given a bulb which was labelled "Brunsvigia
Radulosa". It is now getting leaves so I looked it up on the Wiki and
the leaves are all wrong for that.
