Ellen, We kept seed grown N bowdenii from Silverhill in the Connecticut garden for several years at the base of the south facing barn foundation planted deep in the veggie beds, sandy loam over sand/gravel. Perfectly hardy except they need to beat the first frosts in order to bloom. in Zone 5. Bulbs take several years to settle in after being moved. I may have a couple young'uns in a pot if you want them.
