Alberto, At the time, I thought it was probably the water that did the damage, but our ground does freeze solid down anywhere from 4 inches to 2 ft deep in most winters. So I gave up without testing any further. I had to beg and wheedle to get those 40 bulbs from Aad; I couldn't go back and try to get another batch. I think I had a problem with over-confidence at that time.....
