Hi Elaine, You have a Kniphofia ( http://pacificbulbsociety.org/pbswiki/index.php/…). There are a few with broader leaves so you will have to wait until it blooms to figure out the species/selection/cultivar. Kniphofia experts on this forum may be able to ID it even without blooming flowers.
