Hi all, I'm starting rough planning for a tour to South Africa for the Clivia shows in 2006. Approximate dates would be last week in August and first week or two in September. I picked 2006 because that is when I assume the next International Clivia Conference will be held in South Africa. Exact dates will depend on the most likely dates of the various clivia shows and of the Conference. If you would potentially be interested in joining us, please contact me privately so I can get your name on our mailing list. I will work with a South African travel company for everything within South Africa. We will travel with a driver in a van or a minibus, depending on the number of people participating. We will stay at good accommodations, no camping out! Any air travel within South Africa will be handled by the So. African tour company and will be included in the up front charges to participants. Participants will be responsible for their own air travel arrangements to and from South Africa. We will also take in Kruger National Park for at least two overnights. Other nature areas will be included as we can conveniently do so within the constraints of attending as many of the clivia shows as possible in addition to the Conference. If there should happen to be no Clivia Conference, we will go anyway and do all the rest. My wife and I will be going even if no one else wants to join us. Large groups will get better prices and such discounts will be reflected in discounts to the charges to participants.
