Greetings,
I would guess you are Brian's brother? He was going to put us in contact
with each other. (I am the guy that gave him some variegated Tulbaghia and
Agapanthus to plant at his zoo).
My contact number is 083 463 1983.
I am at Camperdown where I have about 1,5 million bulbs.
Regards
Greg

Hi all,
Not all Brunsvegias are winter growing. There are a few species here in
Natal, South Africa that are summer growing. B.grandiflora, B.undulata,
B.
radulosa and B.natalensis alongside Boophone distica.
Cheers

Subject: [pbs] Nerines- seed sowing
Hi Jamie:
These fleshy seed amaryllids of African origin (Amaryllis,
Cybistetes, Brunsvigia, Nerines, Strumaria, Hessea, Haemanthus, etc,)
give
better results if their seed is only half buried. As you know the main
ingredient for seed germination is oxygen. As for the Brunsvigias, they
are
winter growers therefore excess heat will send them into dormancy. You
can
have them growing without any dormancy at first to advantage. I hope you
are
very young for they will take eons to flower in Germany!
All the best for now
Alberto
