North American Clivia Society
It is a pleasure to announce that the North American Clivia Society has
been formed. The Society has been founded with the following primary goals:
to be dedicated to the promotion, the enjoyment, the studying, and the
cultivation of the genus Clivia.
The purpose of the Society will be to bring together those of us who love
clivias in North America (United States, Canada, and Mexico), to promote
the scientific investigation, the appreciation, and the cultivation of
Clivia, and to facilitate communication among those interested in these
special plants.
Benefits
A published Newsletter several times a year; eventually intended to
be published on a regular schedule.
The Newsletter will be available in both print and electronic forms.
A members-only auction of very special plants donated to the NACS
by members and growers to support the Society.
A membership list, available only to members, to facilitate
communications.
It is intended to extend this list of benefits as the Society grows. The
Society will try to assist groups in starting local and regional Clivia
Clubs anywhere in North America -- Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
The Founding members of the Board of Directors are: Kathy Andersen, Marc
Hamel, Mike Morri, Jim Shields, and Tom Wells.
Dues are US$20 per year for the first year. Payment should be sent to:
