After several weeks of torture, stretching my arches, self massage, hot water soaks, ibuprofen, changing shoes and general dismay, I finally just Googled "why do my feet hurt? ". That led me to plantar fasciitis which I read a lot about and understanding that it's inflammatory, I searched for dietary connections and finally came down to wheat, specifically modern strains of commercial wheat (I am not coeliac). I cut all wheat from my diet. Within a few days the fasciitis dialled way down and then stopped completely. I can now eat bread made from spelt, but commercial wheat still provokes plantar pain. It's a pretty reliable litmus test for me. That's just my own experience, but maybe it can help others. A good book on the health impacts of modern wheat varieties is "Wheat Belly". If you DM me, I can share a PDF copy. > > Re: "Bletilla striata really dislikes the high heat here. But I can grow > Eulophias pretty well." > > Leo, I am envious!
