Thank you all for the bulb information! I so appreciate the time you all spent to answer my question. I have a family member in Texas who wants to start gardening. Of course, there is a hurricane there now, as well as the COVID disaster and very hot weather. Sounds as if planting Megaskepasma there would be a mistake. It thrives in my South Mexico garden. Outrageous plant. Eclipses the heliconias, though one of those is 15 ft. high. Maybe raised beds would be good in Houston, as the water table is at about sidewalk-level. Here in Massachusetts, the lilies are duking it out with the Hemerocallis this week. Plant more! Plant more!
