Hi Leo, It is self fertile at least ours is. We acquired it from Charles Hardman back in 2007 and it has bloomed for us every year since! It is a strong bulb with at least 10-12 leaves now. Here in the California central valley where it is currently 100 degrees, it grows in a 4 gallon pot. It is under a 60% shade house all year long and only goes dormant for a little over a month every year. It is always the first to bloom here. I have crossed it with Nerine filamentosa and the reverse cross and currently have two seedlings of each cross growing quite well. Ours are in a mixture of sand, perlite, pumice and a little organic potting soil. It seems to love the mix and grows great in it. We have over 1500 Nerines mainly sarniensis and a few other Nerine species. We have transplanted even when flowering and have never had a problem and they even have flowered the next season still. We acquired our collection from Charles when he was cutting back growing them, which also included the Greenoaks collection!
