I am reading the latest issue of the publication from the California Invasive Plant Council (CAL-ipc). Their “Weed Alerts” lists plants that are rapidly expanding in California, to the point of possibly being invasive. Among the new plants listed is Pancratium maritimum. Please keep an eye on these plants if you grow them in California. There are reports of established, escaped populations from Ventura County to San Diego County. I havent been successful getting them to grow in my San Diego County garden and with this information, I wont continue to try. There are a million more bulbs that I find just as attractive yet dont (so far) appear to be on their way to invasive status Sent from my eye eye phone. All typos are the captain’s fault. _______________________________________________ pbs mailing list pbs@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net http://lists.pacificbulbsociety.net/cgi-bin/… Unsubscribe: <mailto:pbs-unsubscribe@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net>
