In some previous email exchanges, Darm commented thus: "Hang in there with L. kelloggii seed; once germinated, even when held at the 9 to 11C temps, it is usually very slow to produce its root and first leaf. Usually 3 months but can be longer. Sometimes they will sprout only the leaf. Do not pot them up when they do that, but hold them until they produce their root. If potted up and moved to warmer temps they will be lost." So it would appear that moving from being bag-germinated to pots needs some care. I've typically just sown seeds in flats or pots directly, so I don't have much experience with germination via the baggie method.
