Never before have I see a photo of a mass bloom of Narcissus papyraceus in
its native/natural habitat. Wonderful!

Western Washington where we've had record setting precipitation this winter
- I wish some of it had fallen on our long suffering ,precipitation
deprived souls in southern Oregon and California.
Clivia miniata (protected from frost) are in mid-bloom here.

I had a short excursion to one of my favorite places in the Algarve, it is
the delta of a small river with a tidal swamp, every year there is a mass
flowering of the native Narcissus papyraceus. It is very scented but the
scent is not to everybody’s liking.
The first two pictures show the Narcissus
The following picture is of an almond tree next to deliciously fragrant
Retama monosperma
Next picture shows a potted specimen of Tropaeolum hookerianum in my
garden.
Mimosas (Acacia spec.) grow everywhere but are considered as invasive
weeds. However they are beautiful and strongly fragrant
The last photo is of gladiolus carinatus with Lachenalia bulbifera in my
garden
