Yeah, no rain since December in the central California coastal mountains,, however Shooting Stars are extraordinarily strong this year! Primula (Dodecatheon) clevelandii growing on very steep meadows, in some places forming a solid groundcover. Right now they are pretty much it for geophytes...the just a couple Blue Dicks (Dichelostemma capitatum) although the leaves are everywhere, and the unshowy Manroot (Marah fabacea).
