Winter in the Algarve

Yeah, no rain since December in the central California coastal mountains,,
however Shooting Stars are extraordinarily strong this year! Primula
(Dodecatheon) clevelandii growing on very steep meadows, in some places
forming a solid groundcover. Right now they are pretty much it for
geophytes...the just a couple Blue Dicks (Dichelostemma capitatum) although
the leaves are everywhere, and the unshowy Manroot (Marah fabacea).

Dear Uli
Many thanks for the beautiful images. No more winter blues here. We're in
a drought too in So. California.
Cheers, Candace
