Spray Painting Plastic Flower Pots

That's what I do - put up a board in the front of the pots. Easy and
effective. In some places I put a row of bricks (2 or 3 high). Bricks look
nice. Won't blow over and in an alternating pattern can do nice curves.
Some feature pots I put among a ground cover or low-ish plants in the
garden. The plants cover and shade the pots.
Some I have trailing succulents, such as ice plant, in the same pot with
bulbs. The succulent doesn't seem to be much competition and trails over
the edge of the pot. It can be spotty though in it's coverage.

Setting the pots in the soil or a sand pit, or edging a group of pots with
a wooden board?

I suspect this would be more trouble than it's worth, but has anyone
tried lining the pot with a layer of small bubble wrap before adding the
soil?
Wrapping the outside with aluminum foil would probably work better and be
less work in the end.
