Thank you for posting the link to Wild Plants of Malta & Gozo-Plant: Panccratium maritimum.
That is exactly what my plants look like when they bloom in their five gallon pot!! This is the second year they have bloomed. Looking back over my picture files, I couldn't find my photos I took. If the photo on thatlink is correct, then these bulbs are Pancratium maritimum.
