What do the bulbs of your plants look like? Are they about an inch wide, maybe two or three inches long, with a hard, thick, dark gray/brown tunic? Possibly, then again possibly not. They are below ground, and growing. I have never tried eating them. No help at all really! Best, J. John, I inadvertently sent that message before I had a chance to proof it - that's why there was no subject line. I was doing several things at once, among them trying to figure out how to spell oschaninii. What do the bulbs of your plants look like? Are they about an inch wide, maybe two or three inches long, with a hard, thick, dark gray/brown tunic? Have you tried eating them? Jim McKenney
