Dear Friends, We all know the true term for these wild swings in temperature, precip and storms is 'Global Weirding', not 'Global Warming'. The weather is weird - too hot, too cold, too dry, too windy - all these weird extremes reflecting the weather at odds with itself and not just the simple warming implied by the alternate term.. Today after a few days of temps in the 40 I have bloom on Leucojum aestivum var carpaticum. The leaves are barely an inch out of the ground and the flowers are fully open at ground level. Even self seeded seedlings are blooming about. I know the leaves and flowering stems will elongate in the next few weeks as the weather continues warm and the light rain we are having today all contribute to the growth of these flowering stems. Still this is pretty ridiculous! Global weirding in action. Best Jim W. -- Dr. James W. Waddick 8871 NW Brostrom Rd.
