Steve, you don't mention if you are getting fresh seed or dried seed - it will make a difference. Dried seed will try your patience. A batch germinated for me several years ago three years after being sown. One very curious thing about this batch: almost every seed germinated within a week of the others - after sitting there for three years doing "nothing". Germination was in typical epigeal fashion, and the resulting seedlings were no larger or more robust than those of most typical lilies.
