Mike, Thanks for the article on the influence of Lake Michigan on s.w. Michigan weather. It is pretty much a given that Lake Michigan keeps us (those living on the lake) warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. I know we are a separate growing zone because it doesn't get as cold as it does inland from here.I have really appreciated all the posts I have gotten because of my Alstroemeria question.Steve On Friday, April 29, 2022, 05:44:57 PM EDT, Mike via pbs <pbs@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net> wrote: Steve, I wonder how the lake influences your climate that is not picked up by the traditional banding of climate zones? https://theweatherprediction.com/weatherpapers/… . Maybe you enjoy enough warmth that you could be successful if you are near enough to Lake Michigan? I’d imagine there has to be some warmth depending, on wind and locality to the lake. Just a thought, have a great weekend, Mike San Diego On Wed, Apr 27, 2022 at 3:41 PM Steve Tolen via pbs < pbs@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net> wrote: > I am for alstroemeria for my garden in southwest Michigan and hoping > someone out there can recommend where I might be able to buy some.Thank you > for your assistance,Steve Tolen > _______________________________________________ > pbs mailing list > pbs@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net > http://lists.pacificbulbsociety.net/cgi-bin/… > Unsubscribe: <mailto:pbs-unsubscribe@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net> > _______________________________________________ pbs mailing list pbs@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net http://lists.pacificbulbsociety.net/cgi-bin/… Unsubscribe: <mailto:pbs-unsubscribe@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net> _______________________________________________ pbs mailing list pbs@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net http://lists.pacificbulbsociety.net/cgi-bin/… Unsubscribe: <mailto:pbs-unsubscribe@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net>
