Hi, About 20 years ago I bought a packet of ligtu hyrbid seed, they flowered in their first year. They might be treated as annuals... UK can't compete for low temperatures with those described, but they did survive the ("-20C frighteningly cold") winter which killed a lot of plants. I got fed up with them, because ideally they need staking and tried to dig them up. But they're still there (tubers deep underground), they flower every year, they're nice enough flowers and I don't bother staking them. So, only the price of a packet of seeds to see what happens. -- David Pilling http://www.davidpilling.com/ _______________________________________________ pbs mailing list pbs@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net http://lists.pacificbulbsociety.net/cgi-bin/… Unsubscribe: <mailto:pbs-unsubscribe@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net>
