Hi Paul Thank you for the reply. My single flower is now over and shrivelled. I tried microwaving the pollen, over 2-3 days, from each segment, and self pollinating. Nothing to lose. All I can say at present is the pod/stem of the flower still has some substance and has not shrivelled, unlike a single I. magnifica flower that was out around the same time.. Watch this space ;-) Best wishes, Brian ------ Original Message ------ From: "Dr Paul Chapman via pbs" <pbs@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net> To: "'Pacific Bulb Society'" <pbs@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net> Cc: "Dr Paul Chapman" <paul.chapman@blueyonder.co.uk> Sent: Saturday, 9 Apr, 22 At 12:31 Subject: Re: [pbs] Albuca pollination - NOW Iris Sari Dear Brian, I may be able to help - unless holidays get in the way! My Iris sprengeri came into flower today and, judging by its bud, I suspect that I. iberica will be flowering in about a week's time. Having been gently feeling the bases of my Iris, I am totally confident that my I. sari has a bud, but it is not yet exposed. That suggests to me that it is likely to flower in about 3 weeks' time - but I am on holiday from 28 April until 9 May! Should it flower while I am here, I would be very pleased to let you have some pollen. My plant came from Plantworld Holland in 2019, but my records suggest that this will be its first flowering. I am based in Emsworth, Hampshire.
