Another forum I belong to has issues with photo orientation. I suspect newer phones aren't recording orientation data strictly according to the standards. One workaround is to first, before uploading the photo, open it in an image editor. When I was imprisoned in Windows I used the built-in Windows image editor; now I use Linux and GIMP. GIMP recognizes incorrect orientation information and offers to correct it. If not using GIMP, rotate the photo 90 degrees in any direction. Save the file and close. Reopen the file, rotate to the proper orientation, save and close. It will upload correctly oriented. GIMP is a very complex open-source image editing program. It is available for most operating systems at gimp.org . Leo Martin Phoenix Arizona USA Zone 9?
