Dear All, After good winter rain the native flowers are very beautiful at this time of the year, sorry to repeat myself. I walked through flowering meadows near the south coast of the Algarve and would like to share this with you. The first two pictures show Convulvulus tricolor as a dominant flower, mixed with others, a garden designer could not have done better. They give the green hills an unreal blue sheen from a distance. The third picture shows a meadow of gladiolus illyricus or italicus, only distinguishable in seed, I did not check. How does California look like now?
