Judy -Could you send some of the larger N. ‘Foundling' to the bulb exchange? Does anyone have advice on how to get Narcissus’Canaliculatus’ to flower? I live in zone 8 in California where the summers are sunny and very hot. I’ve stuck some of them out where they will really bake. I probably should send them in to the bulb exchange myself! Only two will flower because they have split and multiplied into tiny offsets. This morning I used a spading fork to dig perhaps 20%. Potted up close to 100 of the larger bulbs. Now need to harden my heart and toss the remainder in the compost heap. I plan to use a liquid fertilizer until they go dormant, then replant somewhere else. > > But I'm having a hard time tossing away the smaller than baby pea sized bulbs. The forecast is for 31 degrees Fahrenheit. Piffle! That's not a worry. And anyway, frost free around here is after Mother's Day. > > -- > This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. > https://www.avast.com/antivirus/ > > _______________________________________________ > pbs mailing list > pbs@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net > http://lists.pacificbulbsociety.net/cgi-bin/… > Unsubscribe: <mailto:pbs-unsubscribe@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net> _______________________________________________ pbs mailing list pbs@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net http://lists.pacificbulbsociety.net/cgi-bin/… Unsubscribe: <mailto:pbs-unsubscribe@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net>
