Arum and Cyclamen in Israel

Thanks Robert. I looked it up - myrmecochory. Very cool. The ants take back
the seeds to the nest and eat the nutritious coating on the seed, which is
then in a perfect place for germination. Mutualism at its best!

In a public park near Tell Aviv I spotted these "weeds". Cyclamen

growing between stones in a dry wall. I have no idea how the seeds got

those cracks. And Arum hygrophylum at the base of the wall. Note flowers
and seeds forming at the same time. This scene was repeated all along

this

50 meter long wall.
