Arnold and Judy are correct. Deer avoid most aroids if not all, including calla lily, elephant ear, Pinellia, Arisaema, Sauromatum, etc. Add Eucomis (pineapple lily) to the list. I have a terrible deer problem, but they leave the Eucomis alone, along with hyacinth and ornithogalum. They also ignore foliage and blooms of Hippeastrum (at least the hardy ones I grow outside). They will totally destroy blooms and buds on daylilies and no amount for deer repellent sprayed directly on the buds will deter them.
