There are probably THOUSANDS of Narcissus 'Foundling'. Only two will flower because they have split and multiplied into tiny offsets. This morning I used a spading fork to dig perhaps 20%. Potted up close to 100 of the larger bulbs. Now need to harden my heart and toss the remainder in the compost heap. I plan to use a liquid fertilizer until they go dormant, then replant somewhere else. But I'm having a hard time tossing away the smaller than baby pea sized bulbs. There are simply too, too many of them. Let's see if I dig another 20% this year. And then next year. And the year after that. Judy in New Jersey where we have a freeze warning for tonight. The forecast is for 31 degrees Fahrenheit. Piffle! That's not a worry. And anyway, frost free around here is after Mother's Day. -- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. https://www.avast.com/antivirus/ _______________________________________________ pbs mailing list pbs@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net http://lists.pacificbulbsociety.net/cgi-bin/… Unsubscribe: <mailto:pbs-unsubscribe@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net>
