Scilla peruviana

The name Scilla peruviana was cited in the context of "incorrect" names.
I suppose it depends on what you think the name means.
The story is that Clusius named it peruviana because he got his plants (I've
read that he made the trip to Bristol to do so) and was told that they had
come in a ship named the Peru. See Patrick Synge's Collins Guide to Bulbs.
