(Sending again from my PBS member email address) On previous threads, we’ve discussed the benefits of sand in seed starting mixes. I do use sand in my seed mixes, and have shopped around some for the cleanest (most free of fine particles) coarse sand available. So far, the best I’ve found are 100lb bags of sand from Sky Nursery in Shoreline, which has worked reasonably well for me for the last few years, but it still has some room for improvement in terms of lack of fine particles. Does anybody have any recommendations for better sources in the Seattle area? Apologies for the location-specific nature of the topic, but hundreds of pounds of sand doesn’t lend itself to long distance shipping! _______________________________________________ pbs mailing list pbs@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net http://lists.pacificbulbsociety.net/cgi-bin/…
