Seeking Knowledge

Do they usually go dormant for you Mike? As not all Rainlilies go
dormant here. Different conditions from you, as all of mine are grown
out in the open. In fact some do most of their growth over winter, like
Zephyranthes macrosiphon 'John Fellers'. Where they grow in the garden,
in a strip of garden out the back of the house, it looks like a lawn
ready to be mown in winter. Yet now it is summer, not a leaf to be seen.

I have a few questions for our knowledgeable members.
I've spent the last few days trimming dead leaves off of my winter-dormant
bulbs (mostly rain lilies and a few crinums). Nearly half of those bulbs
seem to be refusing to enter dormancy: the majority of the leaves are still
green, just a few of the outer leaves have yellowed/dried, and new green
leaves are sprouting.
