Lycoris seeds for sale... including for California
Mark Mazer (Tue, 17 Dec 2019 12:14:41 PST)

We received seed yesterday and sowed them this afternoon. No mold/ fungus
visible but we still give them a spritz of Daconil. Excellent packaging and
some generous counts.

Thanks,
m

Everyone:

When I sell flower bulbs I don't ship to California due to their
restrictions (against the state of Arkansas) on plants with roots
grown in the ground, BUT I am able to ship seeds to California.
Unfortunately, when I adapted my usual script to the new shopping cart
for seeds I failed to add California back into the checkout process. I
also failed to edit out the statement that excluded California. If,
previously, you attempted to order but quit the process due to this
issue, I have corrected it, and I do hope you will give it another
try. My sincere apologies for any inconvenience.

Friends:

I hesitate to try and sell seeds that need "immediate" attention,
but...But...BUT I took the time to harvest Lycoris seed this year
and want to test the market for interest. PBS subscribers, those on
my email list, and Facebook followers are the gardeners I expect to
be most enthusiastic to order, so I am targeting these potential
customers.

I have harvested seed from open pollinated stock, so the only
progeny outcomes we can speculate are based on mother population,
mother selection pool, or, in some cases, a specific selection. Of
the images provided in descriptions on the price list, only the
images for specific selections show the exact mother parent. All
other images just represent one example found in the species.

All stock, though it could have self-pollinated, had the potential
to receive pollen from other unique plants of the same species,
differing species, and/or varieties.

I will be shipping seeds 10/package at the quoted prices. They will
be in plastic zipper bags with a small amount of moistened sphagnum
peat moss to maintain humidity in the package during shipment.
Shipping will be via USPS Priority Mail at a flat rate of $7.95. The
list will remain open through December 27th if I don't sell out
beforehand, and I plan on shipping all seed by December 31st.

Please do let me know in comments during checkout if you allow for
substitutes in general, have a substitute list, or just prefer to
have a refund on unavailable items. I only use Paypal now for credit
card transactions. Otherwise, an option exists for mailing payment
during checkout.

P.S. These seed stalks were harvested in October and seed extracted
in November, placed in baggies with moistened sphagnum and stored in
refrigeration. I was planting crosses this past week, and out of the
hundreds of seeds I planted only one had started pushing a root
radicle.
