Tulip in Houston?

Thank you so much for all the suggestions and comments. I think I may try T
clusiana in a raised bed. Will it be best to plant in the fall when the
temperature is cooler, I'm thinking October.

Right, that's what I was thinking. But I'll bet that there are tulips

which will do well in DFW but won't do well in Houston.
